Kathryn Bedard is an American who has been in the field of human services since 1972. She earned an MA in Alcoholism Counseling; and, is a Licensed Clinical Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselor (LCADC); Certified Co-occurring Disorders Specialist (CMS), and ICRC/ADOA Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor, (NCADC) through the Certification Boards of New Jersey, USA. Kathi is FEMA and Harvard Medical School certified in numerous aspects of public management and disaster/emergency response.
Simply stated, Kathi is one of the most diversely experienced counselors in the world. She has extensive clinical experience ranging from treating severely ill mental health inpatients, to in home work with Autistic children, all while continuing her addictions and mental health private practice. She has developed, instituted and managed treatment programs and staff training programs. She is a FEMA certified disaster manager. She has sat on the New Jersey Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse for 12 years and a long term faculty member of Rutgers School of Alcohol and Drug Studies
Kathi is yoga and meditation instructor who has developed numerous courses on anxiety, stress, burnout, compassion fatigue, fear, life management, addictions, goal setting, team building, wellness, spirituality, eastern arts and philosophy.
